Greg Feinsinger, CMEA, the president of M&EAA recently appraised the machinery & equipment of a manufacturer of automotive related plastics parts and components.  The subject machinery & equipment appraised included 100 ton to 4,000 ton capacity injection molding machines, bulk resin storage and transfer equipment, granulators, mold and water temperature controllers, resin dryers, paint and powder coating equipment, flocking equipment, vapor deposition equipment, molds and custom assembly fixtures.

Appraisal Conclusions: the market for good quality, standard tonnage injection molding machines is fairly strong. Large capacity injection molding machines have an inherently smaller potential resale market. Molds and fixtures have little or no value under a liquidation value premise.
