Medical Center Equipment Appraisals
M&E Appraisal Associates, Inc. (“M&EAA”) are experienced in providing certified medical center equipment appraisals. M&EAA recently completed an appraisal of the medical equipment of a high volume medical center.
The medical equipment appraised included, but was not limited to: a Siemens Axiom Artis dTC cardiology cath lab; a Siemens Axiom Sensis hemodynamics monitoring system; a Siemens Luminos Rad/Flour room with image intensifier; multiple Siemens Mobilett XP mobile x-ray machines; a Siemens Acuson S2000 utrasound; a Siemens Arcadis Avantic New Generation c-arm; multiple Drager Medical Evita XL respirators; multiple Drager Medical Fabius GS anesthesia machines; as well as related cardiovascular information and reporting systems, telemetry equipment, patient monitoring equipment, communications and network equipment, and other related medical equipment items.
Appraisal Conclusions: the subject medical equipment in general is very specialized and very costly. A majority of subject items appraised were in excess of five years of age. There is a viable domestic market for good quality used medical equipment. Values can vary markedly dependent on equipment type, manufacturer, age and condition. The value of high technology medical equipment is subject to rapid technological (functional) obsolescence, although there is continual demand in both domestic and off shore markets.
