M&E Appraisal Associates, Inc. (“M&EAA”) provide certified air compressor manufacturing equipment appraisals. The president of M&EAA, Greg Feinsinger, recently appraised the machinery & equipment of an air compressor & air dryer manufacturing company.

The subject manufacturing machinery & equipment included CNC machine tools, metal working machinery & equipment, welders, turning rolls, shot/bead blasting equipment, paint spray/powder coating equipment, refrigerant filling equipment, specialized assembly & test equipment, forklifts, over the road vehicles, etc.

Appraisal conclusions: the subject machinery & equipment was appraised under the Fair Value and Replacement Cost New scenarios. The appraiser inspected all subject machinery & equipment. A majority of the equipment was older, and many of the subject items inspected and appraised could not be identified on the existing depreciation schedule. The appraisal was specifically helpful to management in identifying all assets for the purpose of allocation of purchase price. As the equipment was generally older, the variance between Fair Value and Replacement Cost New was substantial.
