M&E Appraisal Associates, Inc. (M&EAA) recently completed an appraisal of the furniture, fixtures and equipment of a cosmetic surgical center. The higher valued equipment included liposuction procedure related equipment, surgical instrumentation and equipment, cosmetic lasers (manufactured by Lasering, Novalis and Sandstone Medical), and related exam instruments and equipment.

Appraisal Conclusions: The market for good quality, newer technology cosmetic surgical equipment is strong, and mirrors the demand for aesthetic procedures in general. The demand for older technology equipment depletes rapidly with age. The market for the latest and greatest technology in the industry remains competitive, resulting in high values for these types of assets.
