Distribution Center Appraisals
M&E Appraisal Associates, Inc. (M&EAA) provides certified distribution center appraisals.
Greg Feinsinger, CMEA, the president of M&EAA recently appraised the machinery & equipment of a 650,000 square foot distribution center. The subject machinery & equipment appraised included structural steel pallet racking, forklifts, order pickers, narrow aisle high reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, stretch & spiral wrapping machines, shrink wrapping machines, over the road tractors, dry van trucks, dry van trailers, and other company vehicles.
Appraisal Conclusions: good quality, structural steel pallet racking is significantly more valuable than roll formed pallet racking. The pallet racking was concluded to have high value, which was somewhat tempered by the large volume of sections, and the limitations of the value scenario contemplated. Other “standard” material handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, narrow aisle reach trucks, etc. are used in multitude of industrial applications, which contributed to the favorable values concluded.
